A family business

Lucy McGibbon, our CEO and Founder, has a profound understanding of human behaviour stemming from her upbringing in the hospitality industry and being the youngest of nine children. Observing people from a tender age, Lucy honed her ability to recognise their needs and behaviours, fostering a genuine passion for nurturing and supporting others.

Having been immersed in the family business from the outset, Lucy developed into the role of HR Director across four hotel and conference venues in the 1990s, a position she held for over three decades. With a workforce exceeding 300 employees, and corporate clientele as the primary guests, Lucy recognised an opportunity to elevate client team performance through bespoke activities.

In 1995, Lucy established Teamscapes, a pioneering experiential learning training company. Since its inception, with the help of Lorraine Swann, our Director of Business Development and Customer Support, Teamscapes has evolved into a service that has empowered over 400 organisations and more than 60,000 individuals. Teamscapes has built a trusted group of facilitators who form a highly experienced and close-knit team, capable of delivering the unique Teamscapes methodology to any team or organisation. 

In 2021, Christopher McGibbon joined Teamscapes to collaborate with his mother in business development and modernising the company for online applications. Christopher, who obtained qualifications as a Marine Engineer in 2017, with a wealth of practical expertise brings a fresh and exciting perspective to Teamscapes.

 

Together, Lucy and Christopher regard their clients as extended family, ensuring that every facet of their team development journey is customised and tailored to their distinct requirements. With an unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional customer service and a personal touch, we promise an unforgettable experience.
